(Georgia)

Experimental studies in hydrodynamic construction, particularly the study of such long processes in the concrete dams as shrinkage and crack formation, are reviewed. The study was run with indestructible method – hydrographic interferometry.

With the above method it is possible to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate condition of the solid body and shrinkage and crack formation (its development) of various types of concrete and its development processes. Helium- neon “ЛГИ-215“ laser the capacity of which is 60 MW was used during the experiment. The crack conception, its development and deformation field close to its tip was researched at the same time, at an early stage of structural formation. Measurement accuracy with this method is more (632.8 n.m) than with the contactless method of marking the photoelastic formation. This study, from one side, is aimed at specifying parameters of stitches and incision providing an organized crack formation process.

The above method allows to be used for monitoring and diagnostics purposes in the dam construction.

Proper literature is review performed and experimental data are provided in form of interferogram.
